About Us
Mooknayak.news is a new digital media initiative committed to truthful, inclusive, and people-centered journalism. Born out of the need for a more representative and grassroots-driven voice, we aim to highlight stories that often go unheard in mainstream media.
Our platform covers a wide spectrum of issues—from local community affairs and health to education, youth voices, social justice, and governance—with a special focus on Dalits, marginalized and underrepresented groups.
Inspired by the spirit of fearless journalism, Mooknayak.news strives to be a space where facts matter, voices are amplified, and stories are told with depth and dignity. We believe journalism should not only inform—it should empower.
We are proudly independent, reader-supported, and open to collaboration with journalists, community voices, and changemakers across India.
Our Inspiration
The name Mooknayak pays homage to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the great social reformer and architect of the Indian Constitution, who launched a groundbreaking newspaper titled Mooknayak on 31st January 1920.
The original Mooknayak, meaning “Leader of the Voiceless,” became a historic platform to raise the concerns of the oppressed and marginalized communities, long before such issues gained national attention. It laid the foundation for Ambedkar’s mission of annihilating caste and creating an equitable society through education, awareness, and activism.
At Mooknayak.news, we carry forward that legacy in the digital age—continuing the fight for dignity, equality, and justice through fearless and factual reporting.
